Chronology of the Flood of Noah (Genesis 6-8):

(As it was in the Days of Noah – Luke 17:26)

• Gen 7:11 – Day 1 – Rainfall Begins on (Month 2, day 17 – Heshvan 17)
• Gen 7:17 – Day 40 – Rain stops (40 days later)
• Gen 7:24
• Gen 8:3 – Day 150 – Flooding stops - water begins to recede (Month 7, day 17 – Nisan 17)
• Gen 8:5 – Day 224 – Mountain tops exposed (Month 10, day 1 – Tammuz 1)
• Gen 8:6 – Day 264 – Window opened and Raven sent out. Did not return
• Gen 8:7 – Day 271 – Dove sent out, returned.
• Gen 8:10 – Day 278 – Dove sent out, returned with olive branch.
• Gen 8:12 – Day 285 – Dove sent out, did not return.
• Gen 8:13 – Day 314 – Cover removed from ark (Month 1, day 1 – Tishri 1)
• Gen 8:16 – Day 371 – Noah leaves ark (Month 2, day 27 – Heshvan 27)

NOTE: Calendar in Genesis began on Tishri 1, not Nisan 1. It wasn't moved to Nisan 1 until after the Exodus. See Exodus 12:1-2; 13:4.
